Our Lights Fit Other Housings
All our lights can be fitted to other manufacturers' housings with the aid of our GAS Adapter Bracket, including Gates, Amphibico SeaTool and Ikelite. Many more are compatible providing the housing has a tripod hole on the base.

Sunray Dual Battery Pods & Self Contained SOLA Heads

Similar to our housings the guiding principle behind every Light and Motion underwater lighting design is the minimization of size and weight, whilst maximizing power output and the elimination of hotspots without the use of diffusers, all within a rugged easily maintained and user friendly package.
Currently we offer three types of main video lights useing dual extruded marine grade aluminium anodized pods, which integrate seamlessly into any Light and Motion housing base.
New for 2010 is the SOLA 600 CIL (Compact Imaging Light) desighned as a self contained light head for photo or video use on any housing no matter what the size. All our lights incorporate ultra compact and efficent LED technology.
With the use of a Light and Motion GAS converter bracket our Dual Pod lights can easily be mounted to many other manufacturer housings or carried off hand for third party lighting applications.
Sunray LED Technology

Our light heads use super efficient LED bulb and reflector technology which eliminates the need for a diffuser.
In traditional HID or halogen bulb video light designs, produced by some other manufacturers, cheap simple silver reflectors produce hot spots that are removed with the aid of an external diffuser. This means that extra weight is carried to produce enough power to overcome the 20% of lumen loss caused by the diffuser.
Best of all with the LED systems you will never need to change a bulb again! Specified LED bulb life is 30,000 Hrs!
All Light and Motion underwater video light heads can be run in air. An inbuilt automatic thermal step down switch protects the internal light head circuitry from overheating.
Independent Power Settings and Remote Infrared Activation

Each pod is powered by its own independent battery. Need more power for multiple dives? No problem, simply exchange batteries by removing the front caps and swapping out spare batteries. Each set of lights include a multi-volt fast charger for world wide compatible charging.
Each pod can be switched on and off separately by a push button on the rear plate. By toggling this single push button the lights can be switched into one of three power modes: High, Medium, Low.
Dual pods give some inbuilt redundancy: Run out of power on a pod and keep going with the remaining light.
Many of our tech customers use our lights as primary light sources for wreck and cave penetration whilst videoing.
When used with Light and Motion housings LED600, 1200 and 2000x lighting systems can be controlled from the housings' left remote grip.
Need light quickly to get that elusive shot? One push of the remote handle light button and both light heads immediately come online with full power.
Each pod can be switched independantly into any one of three power levels.
The ability to run diffrent power levels independantly per side helps in composing shots with balanced background and foreground lighting, avoiding burn out from overexposure that can ruin otherwise great video.
Light and Motion Travel Packages
