Light and Motion Integrated Monitors

Stingray 16:9 High Resolution Monitor 

Monitors are included with every Light and Motion housing

Stingray Gen 2 and Stingray Plus Gen 2 Housings housings are supplied with a 16:9  colour monitors as standard. These monitors use the same LCD screen as Sony camcorders. For ease of videoing the user has access to contrast, colour saturation and brightness via push buttons on the rear plate. Please note that these controls only effect the display and do not alter the camera settings.

A 4x AA battery pack mounted internally on the rear of the monitor provides an independant power source with a burn time of approximately 5hrs. A  2 stage low battery warning gives the user about 45mins and then 15 mins advanced notice that the battery pack needs changing.

All our monitors feature a Red/Green LED staus light and leak detector. If moisture is detected inside the housing the LED will flash rapidly between Red and Green and an audible alarm will sound. The LED also duplicates the camera status light switching into Green in standby mode, Red when record is activated and Red if the camera detects a warning such as low battery, end of tape or low data file capacity.

Bluefin Pro OLED (Organic LED)  Monitor

The Bluefin OLED monitor is many times brighter than LCDs, has a larger screen than the stingray monitor, a viewing angle in all directions of close to 180 degrees, blazingly fast response times and contrast ratios of 1,000,000:1 that produce deep blacks and astounding scene detail.

The OLED is supplied as standard with Bluefin OLED S11/ 10 and Bluefin Pro OLED housings.

The OLED monitor can be retrofitted to existing Bluefin Compact housings for Sony A1e, SR12, SR11,  HC9, HC7, HC5 and HC3 camcorders.

The OLED monitor shares all the features as our standard monitor and offers substantially increased burn times of eight hours from a single 4 x AA battery pack.
